SHORT ITINERARY
Day 1 – Reach NJP. Drive to Okhrey and stay in a homestay.
Day 2 – Drive to Hilley and Trek to Versey
Day 3 – Trek back to Hilley. Drive to NJP.
LONG ITINERARY
Day 1: Reach NJP. Drive to Okhrey and stay in our homestay.
Try booking a train that reaches NJP station early in the morning. We will pick you up at the scheduled time and drive to Okhrey. It takes around 5 to 6 hr to reach Okhrey.
Day 2: Drive to Hilley and Trek to Varsey
Wake up early in the morning to take in the fresh mountain air. After breakfast we will start off towards Hilley. The drive takes around 1.5hr. From here we will start our hike through the forest trails to reach Varsey in about 3hr time.
Day 3: Trek back to Hilley. Drive to NJP.
Catch an amazing sunrise on Kanchanjungha and hike back down to Hilley after breakfast. From here it is a car journey of around 7hr to reach NJP station/Siliguri. Plan your further travels accordingly.
HOW TO REACH
NEW JALPAIGURI is the assembly point of the Hilley Varsey trek.
FITNESS REQUIRED
You can start by jogging every day and free hand workout for 30-45 days before the trek.

BEST TIME TO TREK
The best time to do the Hilley Varsey trek is from March to may. This is when the weather is relatively stable, with clear skies and moderate temperatures. It’s important to note that the weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, so it’s always a good idea to check the local weather conditions before planning your trek.
