SHORT ITINERARY
Day 1: Pick up from Dehradun. Drive to Natin, Raithal (7,100 ft) ~180 km
Day 2: Trek from Rainthal to Gui (9,600 ft) ~5 kms
Day 3: Trek from Gui to Chilapada (10,500ft) ~7 kms
Day 4: Explore Dayara Bugyal and Dayara Top (max 11,800 ft) ~6 kms
Day 5: Chilapada to Barsu (6800 ft). ~6 km
DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1 : Drive from Dehradun to Natin(Raithal, alt 1800m). Distance: 180 km, Duration: 6.30 hrs. Stay at Natin.
The best time to leave Dehradun for Raithal is first thing in the morning. The route goes via Mussoorie and Uttarkashi, two beautiful cities along the Bhagirathi River. Raithal is a peaceful village at an elevation of 7,545 feet, and your experience starts the moment you arrive. Acclimatise to the higher elevation by breathing in the fresh mountain air. Learn about the fascinating history and stunning landscapes around Raithal as you explore the little community. We will spend the night at Natin.
Day 2: Trek from Natin (Raithal) to Gui.
Maximum Altitude: 2900m. Trek Distance:
4-5 km, Trek duration: 4-5 hrs.
Proceed from Raithal to Gui on foot after a heavy meal. The 4-5 km walk passes through variant woodlands, where you may see native plants and animals up close. Trekkers that go out in the spring (around March to the middle of May) may be lucky enough to see the flamboyant rhododendron blossoms, which come in a variety of pinks and reds. The somewhat steep climb is made more bearable by the well-kept route. We have thoughtfully positioned rest stops and trash cans along the way for your convenience. Take in the stunning panoramas of the Garhwal Himalayas and Mount Bandarpunch as you arrive at Gui. Set up camp for the night and take in the breathtaking scenery from your elevated vantage point.
Day 3: Trek from Gui to Dayara Bugyal to Chilapada (alt 3000m)
Maximum Altitude: 3700m. Trek Distance: 6.5 km, Trek duration: 5-6 hrs.
Set out from Gui for Dayara Bugyal on the third day of your trek. With its modest hills, the trail never fails to enchant. Immerse yourself in the deep and fascinating forest as you go. Once you reach the base of Dayara Bugyal, take a moment to relax and refuel before continuing your ascent. The magnificent mountain ranges will be revealed to you in all their glory from this vantage point. Lush meadows around the vast Dayara Bugyal, which extends for about 8 to 9 km. Bakriya Top, at an elevation of around 12,200 feet, is the highest point of the hike and your principal objective. Getting to the top of Bakriya is an incredible accomplishment, and the hike there is breathtaking. Take advantage of your time at Dayara Bugyal while enjoying a packed lunch with your fellow hikers. Discover all that the region has to offer and lose yourself in the breathtaking scenery. You will be met with a outstanding panorama of Uttarkashi and the surrounding villages as you ascend to Bakriya Top. Be amazed by the faraway peaks of Srikantha, Jaonli, Darwa Pass, Black Peak, Bandarpunch, and the Bandurpunch Glacier. From this high vantage point, you can see every major mountain range and hiking trail in the area. Descend down to Chilapada campsite for the night stay.
Day 4: Chilapada to Chilapada (alt 3000m).
Explore the valleys (5-6 hrs.)
Get dressed and be ready to click some awesome photos and videos because today is the explanation day at the valley.
Day 5: Trek from Chilapada to Barsu(alt 2340m). Trek distance: 6 km, Trek duration: 4-5 hrs. Drive to Dehradun. (182 km, ~6.30hrs)
The trail to Barsu village often characterized by its diverse landscapes and natural beauty. The trail starts with a initial ascent which leading through dense woods and occasional clearings. The last leg involves a descent towards Basru, which can be steep and rocky.
Bid adieu the trail at Barsu and head back to Dehradun by car.
HOW TO REACH
FITNESS REQUIRED
You can start by jogging everyday. Start of slow with shorter distance & keep increasing it with each passing day. As it is a moderate levek trek , we recommend a 45-60 day free hand workout schedule prior to this trek.

EQUIPMENT LIST
Sturdy trekking shoes with good grip, ankle support that can handle boulders firmly. Poncho/waterproof is a must. a 50-60L rucksack, proper warm winter clothes like jacket, socks, thermals etc.
