SHORT ITINERARY
Day 1 – Reach NJP. Drive to Bhareng .
Day 2 – Trek from Bhareng to Samanden.
Day 3 – Trek from Samanden to Gorkhey.
Day 4 – Trek to Bhareng & drive to NJP
LONG ITINERARY
Day 1: Reach NJP. Drive to Bhareng .
Try booking a train that reaches NJP station early in the morning. We will pick you up at the scheduled time and drive to Bhareng. It takes around 5 to 6 hr to reach Bhareng.
Day 2: Trek from Bhareng to Samanden.
Wake up early in the morning to take in the fresh mountain air. After breakfast we will start off towards Samanden. From here we will start our hike through the forest trails to reach Samanden in about 3hr time. On the way we will cross Gorkhey Khola, Gorkhey village and a small uphill to reach Samanden.
Day 3: Trek from Samanden to Gorkhey.
A short hike for today. A small downhill through the forest will open up the view of Gorkhey with Gorkhey Khola joining Rammam Khola. Take the whole day to stroll around the village, dip your toes in the ice cold Gorkhey river or walk into the oak and pine forests.
Day 4: Trek to Bhareng & drive to NJP
Catch an amazing sunrise and trek back to Bhareng after breakfast. From here it is a car journey of around 6hr to reach NJP station/Siliguri. Plan your further travels accordingly.
HOW TO REACH
New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the assembly point of the Silent Valley trek.
FITNESS REQUIRED
You can start by jogging every day and free hand workout for 30-45 days before the trek.

BEST TIME TO TREK
The best time to do the Silent Valley trek is from October to may. This is when the weather is relatively stable, with clear skies and moderate temperatures. It’s important to note that the weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, so it’s always a good idea to check the local weather conditions before planning your trek.
